Introduction

This is my First blog post on Informatica ETL Tool.

 Before getting to know what is Informatica, let me tell the pre-requisities which you guys have to know are

•  Data warehousing concepts(DWH). 

 Considering that you guys will be knowing all the above concepts. I would start with Informatica and go through each and every part of it which is related to Informatica one by one.

PowerCenter provides an environment that allows you to load data into a centralized location, such as a data warehouse or operational data store (ODS). You can extract data from multiple sources, transform the data according to business logic you build in the client application, and load the transformed data into file and relational targets. It facilitates organizations to collect, centrally process and redistribute data. It simplifies Data warehouse design while doing numerous tasks to transform data as per Business Logic. Migrate the Data, helps in day-to-day maintenance and management. It’s a highly scalable tool and supports large volumes of data.
